The breakthrough of the high-quality shirt

With the goal in mind to produce a Shirt to produce a shirt whose luxurious quality is recognizable at first sight, Heinrich van Laack founded his company in Berlin in 1881. In the 1920s, the elegant white shirt has its heyday and shirts from van Laack advance to the first brand article in the fashion world of that time. In 1920, the shirts bear the inscription "van Laack - the royal shirt", which is still typical today. The three-hole button developed by the founder is improved and adapted to the new, innovative materials. After the Second World War Heinrich Hoffmann acquires the brand and in 1953 the production site is moved to Mönchengladbach. From this milestone the way is paved for international trade. The range is expanded in 1972 with a women's collection and now offers something for everyone for whom quality must not only be visible but also tangible.
