19-69

19-69Iconic fragrances by Johann Bergelin

The perfume label 19-69 is the birth year of founder Johann Bergelin and the year of the legendary Woodstock festival. Thus "Nineteen Sixty Nine" also figuratively stands for a cosmopolitan, cross-border mindset and an unconventional lifestyle - values that 19-69 also stands for.
As a photographer and painter, Johann Bergelin traveled the world for over 25 years before deciding to interpret his cultural impressions not only on canvas, but also in fragrances in the future. In doing so, he interpreted the concept of culture very broadly: In his unisex perfumes for men and women, Johann Bergelin captures the special features of individual cultures such as lifestyle, scenery, music, scents and moods. As a result, some of his perfumes are named after a real place, such as "Capri" or "Miami Blue". Incidentally, the simple, elegant bottles from 19-69 are made by hand in a small glass factory in Italy.

Kasbah, Capri, Chinese Tobacco, Purple Haze, Rainbow Bar and more: most of the fragrances from 19-69 do not fit into the classic fragrance families. With its sweet and spicy accords, the fragrance "Kasbah", for example, transports you to the souks and mosques of North Africa.

The citrusy-synthetic fragrance "Miami Blue" is intended to evoke associations with a drive on the highway in Miami at night. And the resinous, woody fragrance "Havana" captures the smoky, nostalgic atmosphere of a balmy summer evening in the streets of Cuba's capital. Travel to distant places through fragrances and immerse yourself in beauty and otherness: That is the secret of the "genderless" fragrance collection 19-69.
