GRASEGGER MANUFACTURE

For more than 15 years, traditional costume collections for men have been produced in Farchant near Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Alps as a subsidiary brand of Grasegger. The range includes waistcoats, trousers and traditional jackets, but also sporty outdoor jackets. Loden coats as well as elegant traditional cardigans and traditional waistcoats for men complete the collections. The brand has its roots in the alpine region, where tradition is still very important today. In classic elegance and timeless style, the Grasegger Manufaktur manufactures its collections in cooperation with family-run fabric manufacturers in Bavaria and Austria.

The foundation stone in the history of Grasegger dates back to 1984, when the fabric department of the Hartenstein textile house was to be moved to the newly built adjacent building. A traditional costume store is also planned and only a short time later the house is extended by another floor and a Lüftlmalerei. To this day, the warehouse for traditional costume fabrics is still located on the ground floor - just as it was when the company was founded in 1984.

Grasegger Manufaktur 's selection of fabrics is so large that there are 166 million possibilities for creating a dirndl, a traditional costume waistcoat or a janker. In addition to fine silk, cotton and linen fabrics, the Grasegger Manufaktur uses bodice hooks, horn and silver buttons, handmade trimmings, the finest lace as well as edging ribbons and appliqués that make the Dirndls unique.
