In 1925 Caroline Finamore opened her own workshop in the historic centre of Naples. She sewed shirts for a select clientele, using the traditions of Neapolitan fashion that set the laws of fashion around the world in terms of elegance. These traditions and skills were passed on to her son Alberto and his wife Stefanie, who opened their first workshop in the 1960s in Giorgio a Cremano, a town on the outskirts of Naples. Alberto's strong business sense and his wife's experience made the workshop a valuable business for handmade shirts.
