Surprisingly, the world-famous company was founded by a roofer, of all people. However, Franz Falke-Rohen regularly worked as a day laborer in a knitting factory during the winter. He liked the job so much and saw such great potential in the industry that he set up his own business in 1895. And he understood his craft right from the start. Today, the company, based in Schmallenberg (North Rhine-Westphalia) in the Sauerland region and now run by the fourth generation, has more than 3,000 employees in Germany and abroad. The focus is still on high-quality knitwear and fine hosiery, but the brand's portfolio now also includes sportswear and outerwear. Throughout all this time, Falke has always stood on an unshakable foundation of values consisting of uncompromising quality, innovative spirit, absolute reliability and continuity. Countless people appreciate this foundation and consistently rely on the Falke brand when choosing their socks and stockings. Incidentally, the products are manufactured at several locations.
