An innovative denim label
Adriano Goldschmied was founded in 2000 by jeans producer Yul Kun and designer Adriano Goldschmied in California. Goldsmith could already look back on years of experience in the jeans business with labels like Diesel and 7 For All Mankind. The brand's evolution from an exclusively high-end denim brand to a contemporary lifestyle brand began in 2008 when Samuel Ku, Yul Ku's son, was appointed Creative Director. Since then, Samuel and the designers at Adriano Goldschmied have focused on creating complete collections that reflect the true core aspects of the brand: chic, sophisticated, classic. The jeans are a skillful fusion of Italian elegance and American casualness, designed in Los Angeles. From the initial concept and design stages to the finishing process, AG's manufacturing facilities combine design know-how with ingenuity.
Social behavior and a sense of responsibility are core tenets of the company. Whether it's innovative and renewable technologies, the use of environmentally conscious fibers, or other projects like Water, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating clean and safe drinking water for people in developing countries, AG Jeans is committed to making a difference.
AG Jeans is committed to providing a high quality product while exercising corporate social responsibility at all levels. AG Strives to be a positive example of corporate integrity. This commitment plays a critical role in the company's daily manufacturing operations and long-term strategies. AG Jeans are manufactured in purpose-built facilities, which creates the unique opportunity to carefully monitor and control the production process. From enforcing strict ethical labor policies to reducing environmental impact, AG is focused on creating a forward-thinking workplace.
AG Jeans and environmental protection
AG Jeans places great emphasis on reducing water consumption. The production facilities use technologies that reduce water consumption by 50% while minimizing the use of chemicals and energy. Ozone technology, first implemented in 2010, has saved millions Galloof gallons of water. Premium fabrics are a core component of AG Jeans's designs. Therefore, materials are used that benefit both customers and the planet. Many of the textiles contain sustainable fibers such as Tencel® and Modal®, which are all-natural and biodegradable. AG takes great care to reduce the amount of waste that is generated. Patterns are cut to maximize fabric scales and minimize the amount of fabric scraps that cannot be used. Excess fabric scraps are collected weekly for recycling, totaling approximately 1300 pounds per week, and are recycled as insulation. AG continually invests in the latest technologies to increase the efficiency of its manufacturing facilities. Heat-saving equipment recycles heat from commercial dryers and reduces laundry consumption by up to 46%.
