In 1953 Willi Kruetschnigg founded Sportalm Kitzbühel as a knitting mill. A few years later, the first traditional costumes were added to the range. Sportalm was the first industrial company to design coloured dirndls and was thus a pioneer of its time. In addition to the traditional costume and ski fashion, a fashion collection has been offered since 2004, which has made Sportalm one of the most successful companies in Austria. It is therefore not surprising that the brand was awarded the Austrian national coat of arms in 1986 and has been allowed to use this in its business dealings since then. The materials of the fashion of Sportalm are processed with best handicraft techniques and highest quality in the own European production plant. The design is modern, unusual and unique, combining a sense of home with cosmopolitanism. Each style is unmistakable and shows the love of the designers for every little detail.
