In 2008 Saloni Lodha that she wanted to create a brand that blended the heritage of her Indian culture, which she had grown up with, with the global life she now led. A few years later, she founded her eponymous label Saloni. She wants her collections to reflect her nomadic lifestyle while representing her Indian roots. She draws on her exotic heritage and works with local artisans from her homeland to infuse a modern take on bohemian chic into each garment. She draws inspiration from her childhood and especially from the vibrant colors of her grandmother's saris and memories of summer vacations visiting Jain temples in Rajasthan. Her sensibility coupled with her daily life as a mother in offices in Hong Kong and London motivates her day after day to create a wardrobe for women who want to experience the carefree joy of diverse hues.
