Elegance, sophistication and craftsmanship
In April 1929, at the age of just 21 during the Great Depression, the young Eduard Dressler decided to open a tailor's workshop for men's suits in Großostheim on the Bavarian Lower Main. The trained tailor had a vision: everyone should have the possibility to wear a suit that corresponds to the highest tailoring art. Initially still a small artisan business, he saw the opportunity of industrial production. The rapid success did not fail to materialize. Shortly afterwards, Eduard Dressler expanded his business, passionately combining the classic art of tailoring with a new type of industrial production. After the end of the war, the real upswing began and Eduard Dressler expanded continuously with his company. An own apprentice workshop was built to train qualified junior staff and also the well-being of his employees was very close to the tailor's heart. Thus an own factory kitchen, a dining room and a cafeteria were established. Eduard Dressler 's son Heinz also joined the company at the age of 24 and built up one of the most advanced EDP systems of its time and refined the production techniques. The company increasingly focused on the quality of tailor-made pieces with fashionable and casual cuts that offered a high level of comfort and freedom of movement. Today, Eduard Dressler has stood for a constant sense of values and a strong brand essence for over 90 years. Sophistication, elegance and exceptional craftsmanship have always been synonymous with Eduard Dressler. Meticulous manufacturing, attention to detail and perfect craftsmanship are the hallmarks of the label's collections.
