Sara Roka, who originated in Canada and has always been inspired by life, people and surroundings, has designed all over the world. Her work showcases her life in the US and her current home in Italy. Sara Roka studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and graduated summa cum laude. She went on to work for Michael Kors and Valentino. Expanding her craft was through working in various fashion houses in Italy where her impact is still felt. Sara Roka 's work ranges from evening wear to knitwear and outerwear collections, using a variety of materials and techniques.

A collection all about a men's shirt
Spending the last eleven years in Italy, Sara Roka 's exposure to Italian mills, fabrics, and factories has inspired her to pursue a longtime passion of designing and producing a collection around a basic style she has always adored: the classic men's shirt. Some of the greatest moments in feminine fashion and style history occurred when women borrowed items from the male wardrobe. Roka took on the challenge of transforming the traditional men's shirt into a fresh, feminine and modern must-have while maintaining the quality, comfort and finish of the original. The luxurious cottons available in Italy, such as poplin and oxford, the wonderful embellishments and details, and the exceptional workmanship led the designer to creatively design a collection that consisted of innovative blouses, dresses and tops, while maintaining the essence of the timeless men's shirt. "I have always loved the shirt because it has many faces. It can be worn with anything, anywhere: to the beach, to dinner, to work or to relax," explains Sara Roka. "If you had to make a quick decision on what to wear, the shirt is the easiest way to be sophisticated and casual at the same time. The shirt is appropriate for any occasion and is the perfect canvas for accessories and a woman's assertive personality."
