In the highlands of Asia, in a vast area that includes the countries of Mongolia, China, India and Afghanistan, the Cashmere goat lives in harsh climatic conditions. These living conditions have given the goat a warm, resistant coat that has the property of thermoregulating to warm or cool the body to protect the animals from the sharp changes in temperature. In spring, these goats are combed to collect the precious cashmere wool. The small quantities produced by each goat and the elaborate method of wool extraction determine the exclusivity of the cashmere used at Lunaria.
